When you start to play World of Warcraft you’ll notice a strong emphasis on leveling. The game becomes more interesting at each level, so who wouldn’t arrive at a high level without months of frustrating grinding? At the maximum character level WoW opens up a ton of fun possibilities.

You'll be able to take part in high level dungeon encounters, make a lot more gold from quests, and obtain very powerful gear from raid instances and battlegrounds. The grind to level 80 can seem long and intimidating, and for new players it can be a task that will take months of casual play. Guidance is needed when you really want to level fast. WoW Leveling guides seem to be the answer to this problem, but are they?

The most devastating time sink to a new WoW player is the time it takes to figure out quest objectives, reading and rereading every time you move to a new area.

Leveling up however, can be a fun and profitable process if you go about in a playful way.

There are many on and offline paperback or PDF quality guides for every phase of the leveling process available. But the best questing assistants in my experience are the in-game leveling add-ons. These commercially produced guides make a modification to your WoW interface and will clearly mark destinations and objectives for quests.

They show you the most efficient path to follow for completing those quests, and basically all you need to do it to “Follow the Arrow”.

Leveling Can Be Boring!!

Leveling as fast as possible and even power Leveling can become a rather monotonous task. You need to be moving constantly and to break a leveling record you are fighting mobs non-stop. I suggest you also put some fun into it. Their are more WoW success factors then leveling speed alone

Here are some tips to get you at 80 fast and to have fun as well:

At any point while leveling when you go into a town, make sure to stop at a vendor and empty out your bags as much as possible. Picking up the little grey items and trash drops will be a huge source of gold, and inventory space can also be a big help in gathering materials for professions.

When you start a new character, pick up professions as early in the game as possible, the benefit of this is twofold:

  1. Professions can make you a good deal of spending money to pay for repairs and buy some items,
  2. They provide a welcome relief from the grinding involved in questing.
  3. Take some Time Off to Work on your Professions

Every few levels or so, it's a good idea to unwind and spend a little time and money advancing your professions. Make sure to grab secondary professions like first-aid, cooking, and fishing too, since these can be extremely helpful and profitable even at low levels, and there are many rewards at 80 for having these professions maxed out.

Make sure to stock up regularly on food and drink. These items will keep your character fresh and ready to fight, so running out of them will turn grind sessions into lengthy and boring marathons waiting for your health and mana to regenerate. The secondary profession first-aid also helps with this a great deal, particularly for classes with no self healing ability like warriors and rogues.

Try to Minimize Traveling

Minimizing the time you spend moving around is another important step in leveling quickly.

A few good rules to follow for managing your time wisely are:

  1. When you arrive in an area make sure to set your Hearthstone at the local inn. This allows you to instantly return to the central place in the area, "the inn"
  2. The best technique for minimizing downtime is completing as many quests as possible in an area before returning to a quest hub (A village or camp with any number of quest NPCs) so you aren't needlessly running around too much.
  3. Remember that at some levels you are allowed to buy a new mount. Getting one means that you can move faster, are less vulnerable to attackers while traveling and a decrease in traveling time. New mounts are expensive, so try to save some Gold for it. A new mount can be bought at the levels 20, 40, 58, 60, 77.
  4. Change your Weapon specialization often. It’s not really a huge time saver but will take a lot of the monotony from the grinding process.
  5. Try various playing styles, try playing defensive, and then aggressive, play PvE and ask your guild members about PvP, and see where you get the best results.

Start a Profession ASP

When you make your leveling process a bit playful you make the long grind more interesting and you'll gain a tremendous insight in the strengths and weaknesses of your class and that's a real asset once you leveled cap.

Follow these tips, try a good WoW leveling guide and you’re leveling will be much easier and a lot more enjoyable.

If you are a classic wow player like me, you must anticipate the latest wow patch which is version 3.3. This patch went live on December 8. I’m sure both wow player and enthusiasts will update at once to try the latest feature of “Fall of the Lich King”. Let me introduce some new features about the coming patch. The 3.3 patch brings everyone a new area named Icecrown. It’s the citadel of the Lich King. In this area, all the aspiring gamer could fight Arthas. If you are eager for the new challenge, prepare for this final confrontation carefully. Another feature is the Cross-realm dungeon finder which is the easiest and quickest way to five player parties and can connect all realms in the battle group eventually. You can get rewords through the random option of the said dungeon finder now. The user interface has been improved in the new version, especially for new players. Maybe you will find it’s a little different. The quest log is now connected to the map to show a particular quest objective in accordance to the area. In my opinion, the latest patch 3.3 is better than anticipation because of a variety of changes and additions.
